Vastrohealer offers both a Vedic astrology web application and a native Android app, providing comprehensive analysis of birth charts, planetary positions, horoscopes, and more.
As a product manager, I grasped stakeholder requirements, conducted competitor analysis, set brand guidelines, and led the product, UX, and UI design.
Product Journey
Prioritizing Features
The journey began with comprehending the interconnectedness among various astrology concepts, defining hierarchy, feature placements, and design elements accordingly. Concurrently, the UI aimed to embody the Vedic design ethos, whether through warmth or elegance.
Defining Brand Identity
Numerous UI iterations were undertaken to find the perfect brand theme, with a focus on retaining the essence of Indian Vedic culture. Exploring warm earthly tones to golden gradients, the Vedic spirit was evident in many designs. Ultimately, stakeholders voted for the copper gradient theme, solidifying its place as the core of the brand and the app UI.
Native App Development Phase
The development team commenced their work, following the agile methodology. As a result, I had to validate the design and UX for each sprint while simultaneously initiating work on the Webapp.
Over with Web App
Once the UI and UX for the web app were completed, they were handed over to a separate development team. With this task accomplished, my work concluded.
