About Car Wyapar
My Role

Car Wyapar aims to eliminate middlemen in car transactions by serving as a direct platform connecting buyers and sellers of used cars. Apart from this, it has multiple auxiliary features for users such as a car value calculator, car comparison feature etc.

Through direct experience of selling eight cars, I grasped the dealership model, laying the groundwork for the product's features and design, and directed the product development in the capacity of the Product Owner.

Product Journey

2023

Overtaking a Garage

We secured a garage space in Patna, India, through a partnership with an experienced garage owner who had been in the car repair and trading business for 17 years. We renamed it to 7Motors.

Additionally, we invested capital in procuring cars, selling them, and gaining an unbiased understanding of the market dynamics.

Product Design Phase

Within three months, we identified a prevalent issue where buyers and sellers frequently faced exploitation due to their lack of awareness regarding the RC transfer process and potential leads. This realization led to the consolidation of our platform's concept, envisioning it as the "housing.com" for cars. In meantime the garage continued it's regular operations.

MVP got Ready

We're equipped with a range of features including car comparison, EMI calculator, listing for used cars, and a used car price calculator.

2024

Done and Dusted

All set! Admin dashboard, sellers' dashboard, backend, front-end, data entry, blog, and a plethora of features were ready to roll out. Tada!
